Technip Energies says concludes withdrawal from Arctic LNG 2
MOSCOW, Jul 27 (PRIME) -- French engineering company Technip Energies has finished its withdrawal from liquefied natural gas (LNG) project Arctic LNG 2 of Russian independent gas producer Novatek, the company said in a report on Thursday.
“Exit from Arctic LNG 2 project completed,” the report read.
Arctic LNG 2 is to operate three LNG production lines with capacities of 6.6 million tonnes each. Novatek plans to launch the first line 2023, the second in 2024, and the third in 2026. Novatek holds 60% in the project, France’s Total owns 10%, China’s CNOOC and CNPC’s unit CNODC hold 10% each, while Japan Arctic LNG, a consortium of Japanese Mitsui & Co and JOGMEC, owns 10%.
